The design of the box has been changed to reflect that it is a new start for the New World. The main box theme colour is black, and it kind of fits Brook as he's already dead... Yohohohoho! The box now says "EASY TO COLLECT & COOL STYLE", as generally the price range for Figuarts Zero is of an affordable pricing and comes in many different unique styles.

ACCESSORIES

Brook doesn't comes with many accessories for it to pose with and that is kind of disappointing. The guitar is not removable and therefore just sticks in his hands and do nothing. There's a plastic rod that comes along with the figure to help Brook stand without the base, although with the base pegs supporting, there's no need for it. The base itself is now square-shaped, as opposed to the pre-New World versions which are round in shape.

The design of the box wasn't the usual One Piece - Figuarts Zero that most people are all familiar with, with it's transparent plastic to be able to look through it. But still, it is quite nicely done and instead of saying "EASY TO COLLECT & COOL STYLE", it says "EASY TO COLLECT & CUTE STYLE". That's true considering that Shirahoshi is one of the cutest characters in the manga/anime second only to Tony Tony Chopper.

Princess Shirahoshi, which she is also known as the Mermaid Princess, is a giant smelt-whiting mermaid and the current form of Poseidon. She is one massive figure, the largest One Piece - Figuarts Zero in this line to date, standing at a height of 24.5cm. And she is one of the most beautifully done Figuarts Zero to ever grace this line and Bandai will have to take it up further a notch to produce something better.

Once the figure is out of the packaging, there is a very strong prevalent PVC smell coming from it, and since that is harmful, it would be better not to have kids around when you're opening it. The figure does weight quite a bit, and it feels solid to hold on to. The sculpt of the figure is nicely done to reflect the princess gorgeousness as she is set to dazzle you with those eyes of hers. There are some assembling to be done before she is shown in her full glory, there is a connecting headpiece and a tail to be attached to the main body.

The paintwork on her is also another highlight to this figure. Although her hair and body are of a matte finish, her mermaid tail is given somewhat of a glossy finish, which adds to the contrast of this amazingly huge figure. Her fish-shaped hair pin is painted in a nice metallic orange finish while the pearls around her waist is given a matte orange finish.

ACCESSORIES

She comes with a different base that is unique to this figure, it is much more of a stand that would support the figure but you do not need it to display her. She also comes along with an extra interchangeable face in which she is laughing happily and depending on the style you want her to be in. The only disappointment would be that she does not comes with her crybaby face that she is so famous for. Other than those, there are no other accessories for this figure, which is sort of disappointing for such a huge figure.

CLOSURE

Princess Shirahoshi is a nice buy for those that are looking forward to add a mermaid to their collection or just for displaying purposes. It is a definite must have for those die-hard Shirahoshi collectors as this is one of the biggest piece out there, and it is a great figure with quite a substantial amount of detail and effort put into it. The price of this would be only reason that is putting most collectors off at bay, as there are also much cheaper alternative to this. With that said, she's still an incredibly expressive figure with some great sculpting and paintwork, that will look great on any display shelf that would fit her.
